Introducing new people to orienteering is an important goal of the Bruges O-weekend. Participants wishing to enjoy the photo orienteering on Sunday can now register for the event using OrienteeringOnline. Alternatively, it's possible to register by sending a mail to Jeroen Hoekx.
All information about the recreational orienteering activities on Saturday evening has been published in English, French and Dutch (PDF).

Introduction
Beautiful sceneries in a world-famous city with a rich history. Start on the market square, with lots of small alleys and bridges, inner courts and narrow passageways. All these things will make sure you will have a pleasant experience while orienteering in this city. The main competition is held on Sunday. Saturday morning and evening short sprints are organized. There is plenty of time left to visit the city!
Non-competitors can enjoy adjusted activities and courses.
Programme
- Saturday morning, June 2nd: sprint orienteering in "Veltem" forest
- Saturday evening, June 2nd: sprint and recreational orienteering aroud the "Ter Groene Poorte" school campus
- Sunday morning, June 3rd: City orienteering in the historical centre of Bruges
How to get there?
The railway station if Bruges is at walking distance of the second sprint and the city orienteering. A free car parking area is situated near the railway station. Sprint 1 is easily reacheable by public transport from the railway station.
Registration
Fee
- Sprint races: 5€, (3€ up to and including Junior classes)
- Recreational activities: 3€, one-time registration fee for all activities
- City orienteering: 5€, (3€ up to and including Junior classes)
Emit
The emit electronic punching system is used. It is possible to rent an emit for the weekend. Emit rental fees are 2€ for the weekend, 1€ for Junior classes and younger. A caution of 40€ is asked when retrieving the emit, it will be returned after the last competition.
Entries
Orienteeringonline.net is used for entries. Pre-registration will stop at 13 May 2012.

To avoid high bank transfer fees, competitors outside the Euro zone can pay at the first event.
Pre-registered runners will receive a special souvenir.
Limited registration on-site is available, but only for courses 8-13.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the sprint competitions. The complete podium of the city orienteering will receive prizes. There is no overall ranking.
